BSides is a global movement of community-driven cybersecurity conferences. These events offer an alternative to mainstream security conferences by creating an environment that is intimate, collaborative, and innovative. BSides events provideopportunities for security professionals of all levels to share knowledge, connect, anddrive meaningful discussions on cybersecurity.
The first-ever Security BSides event was held in 2009 in Las Vegas. Since then, BSides has expanded across the globe, with successful conferences in major cities such as Cape Town, Johannesburg, London, and Singapore. Following the success of BSides Cape Town and BSides Joburg, cybersecurity professionals in Zimbabwe sought to establish a similar event locally. BSides Harare 2025 marks the beginning of an annual gathering that will provide a dedicated platform for Zimbabwean cybersecurity talent to showcase expertise, discuss industry challenges, and drive local innovation.
